Reflection

My leadership skills have developed more in this experience than I thought they would. I have always been a natural leader but I was surprised by how much leadership skills I used just as a chef at a youth camp. I was able to delegate and find ways to use my leadership skills through this project in ways I didn't think were possible. I was able to trust others with helping me do what was needed and not have to do everything myself. I realized how much leadership is relying on a team and letting others help you so you can accomplish everything better and faster than by yourself.

I have learned that I am more of a protectionist than I thought and a little more of a control freak than I like to admit. However, I have learned how to let others help and rely on others help. I learned just how important every member of a youth camp is. I did not think my position was that big of a deal but I was able to help so many people just by cooking food and keeping snacks and water handy. I learned a lot about myself as well. I enjoyed this project very much. I am grateful for the experience I had to execute this project.
